2. Data We Collect and How We Use It

We process personal data only when strictly necessary for legitimate professional business interactions:

A. Direct Inquiries & Communications

When you send us an email or phone inquiry, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, organisation name, and any contextual information regarding your programme challenge. We process this under our legitimate interest to respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether our consulting services are appropriate.

B. Appointment Booking (Google Calendar)

When you choose to book a free 30-minute initial consultation using our Google Calendar booking link (https://calendar.app.google/Q7LHCXL7LseZzfBJ8), you interact with Google's appointment scheduling infrastructure. Google processes your name, email, and meeting preferences to arrange the video or telephone conference. Please review Google's privacy policy for details on their data processing terms.

C. Website Technical Logs

Like all web servers, standard non-identifying server access logs (such as IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, and timestamp) are processed for infrastructure security, network resilience, and debugging purposes under our legitimate business interests.

D. Analytics and Newsletter

Additional website processing is configured as follows:

  • Website Analytics: When enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage and improve website performance and content. Analytics loads only after you accept analytics cookies. We do not use analytics for behavioral advertising.
  • Newsletter / Field Notes: No newsletter subscription service is currently active. If a newsletter is introduced later, it will be opt-in only and this notice will be updated before launch.

3. Legal Bases for Processing

We process your data under the following lawful bases under UK GDPR Article 6:

  • Contract / Pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b)): To prepare for or execute a consulting, coaching, or training agreement with you or your organisation.
  • Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): To respond to professional business inquiries, operate and secure our website, and conduct business-to-business communications.
  • Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): To maintain corporate, statutory, and accounting records where required by UK law.

4. Data Retention

We retain client and inquiry data only as long as necessary to fulfill the business purposes for which it was gathered, or as required by statutory record-keeping regulations (typically 6 years for business financial contracts). General prospective inquiries that do not lead to an engagement are reviewed and purged periodically.

5. International Transfers & Processors

We may use reputable cloud service providers, including Google Workspace for email and calendar scheduling and Google Analytics where you have accepted analytics cookies. Their processing is governed by their applicable terms and safeguards. Please review their privacy information before using embedded services.

6. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data, as well as the right to restrict processing or object to processing. You may view a complete description of these on our dedicated GDPR Rights page.

7. Complaints

If you have concerns about our handling of your personal data, please contact us first at info@boomg.org so we can resolve the issue directly. You also have the legal right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
